Cazuela de Vacuno
A popular chilean home-style dish with beef on the bone, potatoes, pumpkin, well suited for a family weekly menu.
Ingredients
- beef on the bone800 g
- potato4 pcs
- pumpkin400 g
- corn2 heads
- carrot2 pcs
- rice80 g
- salt1 to taste
- black pepper1 to taste
Instructions
For Cazuela de Vacuno, cut carrots, beef on the bone, corn cobs, potatoes and rice into convenient pieces.
In a pot, warm a little fat or liquid and gently cook carrots for 3-5 minutes.
Add beef on the bone, corn cobs, potatoes and rice and pour in water.
Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and cook until the firmest components are tender.
At the end, stir in pumpkin, then season with salt and pepper.
Serve the soup at the right temperature: hot for hearty soups or well chilled for cold soups.
