Deruny
Crispy golden potato pancakes made with grated potatoes and onion — a beloved Ukrainian dish served hot with sour cream.
Ingredients
- potato700 g
- onion1 pcs
- egg1 pcs
- flour2 tbsp
- frying oil4 tbsp
- sour cream100 g
- salt1 to taste
- black pepper1 to taste
Instructions
Grate the potatoes and onion on a fine grater. Squeeze out the excess liquid.
Add the egg, flour, salt and pepper; mix well.
Heat the oil in a frying pan.
Drop the mixture by the tablespoonful, shaping into pancakes.
Fry for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Serve hot with sour cream.
