A baked sweet babka with apples or cherries and a tender egg-based batter.

Ingredients

  • Apples or cherries500 g
  • Eggs3 pcs
  • Sugar120 g
  • Sour cream150 g
  • Flour180 g
  • Butter60 g
  • Baking powder1 tsp

Instructions

Prepare the fruit: slice apples or pit cherries.

Beat eggs with sugar until pale and foamy.

Add sour cream, melted butter, flour, and baking powder.

Gently fold in the fruit.

Transfer to a greased baking dish.

Bake at 180°C for 35–40 minutes and cool before slicing.
