Buckwheat Halushky

Fragrant buckwheat dumplings served with butter or cracklings.

Ingredients

  • Buckwheat flour180 g
  • Wheat flour80 g
  • Egg1 pcs
  • Warm water130 ml
  • Salt0.5 tsp
  • Cracklings or butter80 g

Instructions

Mix buckwheat and wheat flour with salt.

Add egg and warm water, then knead into a firm dough.

Rest for 10 minutes so the flour hydrates.

Bring salted water to a boil.

Roll the dough into ropes and cut into small pieces.

Cook for 5–6 minutes after they float; serve with cracklings or butter.
