Potato Halushky

Tender potato dumplings with fried onion.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes700 g
  • Egg1 pcs
  • Flour120 g
  • Onions2 pcs
  • Oil3 tbsp
  • Sour cream100 g

Instructions

Boil potatoes in their skins, peel, and mash or grate them.

Add egg, flour, and salt, then knead into a soft dough.

Shape into ropes and cut into small pieces.

Bring salted water to a boil.

Cook the dumplings for 3–4 minutes after they float.

Serve with fried onion, sour cream, or mushroom sauce.
