Gyoza
Japanese pan-fried dumplings with a juicy meat or vegetable filling.
Ingredients
- Flour200 g
- Minced pork250 g
- Cabbage200 g
- Garlic2 cloves
- Ginger Fresh1 tsp
- Spring onion30 g
- Soy sauce2 tbsp
- Sesame oil1 tsp
Instructions
Make the dough from flour, hot water, and salt, then knead and rest it for 20 minutes.
Make the filling from minced pork, salted and squeezed cabbage, garlic, ginger, spring onion, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
Roll the dough thinly and cut out circles about 8 cm in diameter.
Fill each circle and pleat the edges into a folded crescent.
Fry in oil for 2-3 minutes, pour in 1/2 cup water, cover, and steam for 5 minutes.
Serve with a dipping sauce made from soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
