Turkey Stewed with Rice
A hearty home dish with turkey, rice, vegetables, and aromatic gravy.
Ingredients
- Turkey fillet or thigh600 g
- Rice250 g
- Onion1 pcs
- Carrot1 pcs
- Broth600 ml
- Oil2 tbsp
- Paprika1 tsp
- Bay leaves2 pcs
- Fresh herbs15 g
Instructions
Cut the turkey into pieces, season with salt and pepper, and brown lightly.
Add onion and carrot and cook for 5 minutes until softened.
Stir in rinsed rice so it absorbs the fat and vegetable flavor.
Pour in hot broth and add bay leaf and a little paprika.
Cover and simmer over low heat for 25–30 minutes, stirring as little as possible.
Let stand for 10 minutes, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve with herbs.
