Ingredients

  • black beans300 g
  • palm oil3 tbsp
  • plantain2 pcs
  • tomato300 g
  • onion1 pcs
  • chili pepper1 pcs
  • salt1 tsp

Instructions

Rinse the legumes and soak them ahead if needed; simply drain canned beans.

Cook the onion, garlic, peppers, or tomatoes until soft.

Add Black beans, Palm oil, Plantain, Tomatoes and stir into the aromatic base.

Pour in the water, broth, or coconut milk from the recipe and simmer until tender.

Mash part of the beans if you want a thicker texture.

Serve Red Red hot as a main dish or with rice or flatbread.
