Apple Solozhenyk

A tender Ukrainian sweet pancake-casserole with apples.

Ingredients

  • Eggs4 pcs
  • Flour120 g
  • Milk200 ml
  • Sugar60 g
  • Apples3 pcs
  • Butter40 g
  • Cinnamon0.5 tsp

Instructions

Beat egg yolks with sugar, then add milk, flour, and a pinch of salt.

Whip the egg whites separately to soft peaks and fold them gently into the batter.

Slice apples thinly and soften them briefly with butter and cinnamon.

Pour some batter into a greased dish, add apples, and cover with the remaining batter.

Bake at 180°C for 25–30 minutes until golden.

Serve warm with sour cream or honey.
