Tovchonka

A rustic mashed potato and bean dish with fried onion.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes700 g
  • Cooked beans250 g
  • Onions2 pcs
  • Sunflower oil3 tbsp
  • Fresh herbs15 g

Instructions

Peel, cut, and boil the potatoes in salted water until tender.

Cook the beans separately or use already cooked beans.

Finely chop the onion and fry it in oil until golden.

Drain the potatoes, add the beans, and mash into a coarse puree.

Stir in the fried onion, salt, pepper, and a little cooking liquid for softness.

Serve hot as a side dish or simple meatless meal.
