Khao Pad
A popular thai home-style dish with cooked rice, chicken or shrimp, eggs, well suited for a family weekly menu.
Ingredients
- Cooked rice500 g
- Chicken or shrimp350 g
- Eggs3 pcs
- Soy sauce3 tbsp
- Fish sauce1 tbsp
- Lime1 pcs
- Sugar1 tsp
- Garlic2 cloves
Instructions
Use cold cooked jasmine rice and break up clumps with your hands.
Prepare egg, garlic, onion, vegetables, and chicken, shrimp, or tofu.
In a hot wok, fry the garlic, add the protein, and cook through.
Push everything aside, crack in the egg, and scramble quickly.
Add rice, soy or fish sauce, and a little sugar, then stir-fry over high heat.
Serve with cucumber, lime, and spring onion.
