Mashed Potatoes with Homemade Cutlet
A classic family meal: creamy mashed potatoes, a meat cutlet, and simple gravy.
Ingredients
- Potatoes900 g
- Pork and beef mince500 g
- Egg1 pcs
- White bread80 g
- Milk200 ml
- Onion1 pcs
- Butter50 g
- Breadcrumbs60 g
- Salt1 to taste
- Black pepper1 to taste
- Flour2 tbsp
- Broth500 ml
Instructions
Peel and cut the potatoes, then boil them in salted water until tender.
Mix the mince with egg, bread soaked in milk, onion, salt, and pepper.
Shape cutlets, coat in breadcrumbs, and fry for 4-5 minutes per side.
Drain the potatoes, add milk and butter, and mash until smooth.
For a quick gravy, heat broth with a spoon of flour until thickened.
Serve the mashed potatoes with the cutlet and gravy.
