Thai Basil Chicken
Thai spicy chicken with basil, garlic, and chili, served with rice.
Ingredients
- Ground or minced chicken400 g
- Garlic cloves4 cloves
- Chili1 pcs
- Thai basil30 g
- Soy sauce1 tbsp
- Fish sauce1 tbsp
- Oyster sauce1 tbsp
- Sugar1 tsp
- Rice for serving200 g
- Egg1 pcs
Instructions
Mince the garlic and chili and remove the basil leaves from tough stems.
Mix soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar.
Heat a wok or skillet very hot and fry the garlic and chili for 20 seconds.
Add the chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes, breaking up clumps.
Pour in the sauce and cook for another 1–2 minutes until glossy.
Remove from the heat, add the basil, toss, and serve with rice and a fried egg.
