British Rice Pudding

Baked milk rice pudding with nutmeg.

Ingredients

  • Short-grain rice120 g
  • Milk1000 ml
  • Sugar80 g
  • Butter30 g
  • Nutmeg0.25 tsp

Instructions

Rinse rice and place it in a deep baking dish.

Add milk, sugar, and pieces of butter.

Sprinkle with nutmeg.

Bake at 150°C for 1.5–2 hours, stirring occasionally during the first hour.

When the rice is soft and a skin forms on top, remove from the oven.

Serve warm or cold with jam.
