Tom Kha Gai
A popular thai home-style dish with chicken breast, coconut milk, galangal or ginger, well suited for a family weekly menu.
Ingredients
- Chicken breast500 g
- Coconut milk500 ml
- Galangal or ginger30 g
- Lemongrass2 стебла
- Mushrooms200 g
- Limes2 pcs
- Fish sauce3 tbsp
- Salt1 to taste
- Black pepper1 to taste
- Fresh ginger1 tsp
Instructions
For Tom Kha Gai, cut mushrooms and chicken breast into convenient pieces.
In a pot, warm a little fat or liquid and gently cook mushrooms for 3-5 minutes.
Add chicken breast and mushrooms and pour in coconut milk and fish sauce.
Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and cook until the firmest components are tender.
At the end, stir in galangal or ginger, lemongrass, limes and coconut milk, then season with salt and pepper.
Serve the soup at the right temperature: hot for hearty soups or well chilled for cold soups.
