Chicken Chakhokhbili
Georgian chicken stewed with tomatoes, onions, garlic, and fresh herbs.
Ingredients
- chicken thighs800 g
- tomato600 g
- onion3 pcs
- garlic4 cloves
- cilantro25 g
- parsley20 g
- khmeli-suneli1 tsp
- chili pepper0.5 pcs
- oil2 tbsp
- salt1 tsp
Instructions
Brown the chicken thighs uncovered until they develop a golden crust.
Slice the onions into half-rings and fry separately until soft.
Peel and dice the tomatoes, then add them to the chicken.
Add the onions, garlic, chili, salt, and khmeli-suneli.
Cover and simmer for 30–35 minutes until the chicken is tender.
Stir in chopped cilantro and parsley, warm for 2 minutes, and serve.
