Ethiopian Ful Medames
A popular home-style Ethiopian Ful Medames dish from ethiopian cuisine.
Ingredients
- red kidney beans300 g
- tomato300 g
- onion1 pcs
- garlic3 cloves
- egg2 pcs
- olive oil3 tbsp
- salt1 tsp
- black pepper0.5 tsp
Instructions
Rinse the legumes and soak them ahead if needed; simply drain canned beans.
Cook the onion, garlic, peppers, or tomatoes until soft.
Add Red kidney beans, Tomatoes, Egg, Olive oil and stir into the aromatic base.
Pour in the water, broth, or coconut milk from the recipe and simmer until tender.
Mash part of the beans if you want a thicker texture.
Serve Ethiopian Ful Medames hot as a main dish or with rice or flatbread.
