Rosti with Egg

Crispy potato rosti topped with egg.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes700 g
  • Butter40 g
  • Eggs2 pcs
  • Hard cheese180 g
  • Salt1 to taste
  • Black pepper1 to taste

Instructions

Boil the potatoes in their skins until partly tender, or use leftover cooked potatoes.

Grate the cooled potatoes coarsely and season with salt and pepper.

Melt butter in a pan and spread the potatoes into an even layer.

Fry for 6-8 minutes until golden, then flip and brown the other side.

Fry the egg separately.

Serve the rosti topped with the egg and grated cheese if desired.
