Ingredients

  • Shortcrust pastry500 g
  • Potatoes500 g
  • Onions2 pcs
  • Cheddar250 g
  • Egg1 pcs
  • Butter30 g
  • Salt1 tsp

Instructions

Boil potatoes until tender and mash roughly.

Slowly fry onions in butter until sweet and soft.

Mix potatoes, onions, and grated cheddar.

Line a pie dish with half the pastry and add filling.

Cover with remaining pastry and brush with egg.

Bake at 190°C for 35–40 minutes until golden.
