Meat Pierogi
Homemade Polish dumplings filled with savory cooked meat and onion.
Ingredients
- Wheat flour400 g
- Egg1 pcs
- Cooked beef or pork400 g
- Onions2 pcs
- Broth80 ml
- Butter40 g
- Salt1 to taste
- Black pepper1 to taste
Instructions
Make dough from flour, egg, salt, and warm water; rest it under a towel for 20 minutes.
Grind or finely chop the cooked meat.
Fry the onion until soft, then mix it with the meat, broth, salt, and pepper.
Roll out the dough, cut circles, add filling, and seal the edges.
Boil in salted water for about 4 minutes after the pierogi float.
Optionally pan-fry the cooked pierogi in butter until lightly crisp.
