Polish Pyzy with Meat
Polish potato dumplings stuffed with savory meat filling.
Ingredients
- Potatoes1000 g
- Potato starch120 g
- Egg1 pcs
- Cooked meat350 g
- Onion1 pcs
- Pork fat or bacon for serving80 g
- Salt1 to taste
- Black pepper1 to taste
- Cream150 ml
- Sour cream100 g
Instructions
Boil and mash half of the potatoes; grate the other half raw and squeeze out the liquid well.
Mix cooked and raw potatoes with starch, egg, and salt.
Chop the meat and combine with fried onion, pepper, and salt.
Make potato patties, add the filling, and shape into balls.
Boil in salted water for 8–10 minutes after they float.
Serve with cracklings, onion, or sour cream.
