Buckwheat with Goulash
A homestyle Polish meal of buckwheat groats with meat gravy.
Ingredients
- Buckwheat groats250 g
- Pork or beef500 g
- Onion1 pcs
- Carrot1 pcs
- Flour1 tbsp
- Bay leaves2 pcs
- Salt1 to taste
- Broth or water400 ml
- Pickles40 g
Instructions
Rinse buckwheat and cook it in salted water using a 1:2 ratio.
Cut pork or beef into small cubes and brown well.
Add onion and carrot and cook for another 5 minutes.
Pour in broth, add bay leaf, and simmer for 45–60 minutes.
Thicken the gravy with flour mixed with cold water.
Serve the buckwheat with meat gravy and pickles.
