Cottage Pie

British beef mince casserole topped with mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

  • Ground beef600 g
  • Potatoes900 g
  • Onion1 pcs
  • Carrots2 pcs
  • Peas120 g
  • Tomato paste1 tbsp
  • Beef broth400 ml
  • Butter60 g
  • Milk100 ml
  • Salt1 to taste
  • Black pepper1 to taste

Instructions

Boil potatoes and mash with butter and milk.

Brown the beef mince with onion.

Add carrot, tomato paste, broth, and simmer for 15 minutes.

Stir in peas and season with salt and pepper.

Place the meat filling in a dish and spread mash over the top.

Bake at 200°C for 25 minutes until golden.
