Duck Breast with Apples
Duck breast with apples and a light sweet-sour pan sauce
Ingredients
- Duck breasts2 pcs
- Apples2 pcs
- Honey1 tbsp
- Apple cider vinegar2 tbsp
- Butter40 g
- Salt1 to taste
- Black pepper1 to taste
Instructions
Score the duck breast skin in a crosshatch pattern without cutting into the meat; season with salt and pepper.
Place the breast skin-side down in a cold pan and cook for 8-10 minutes to render the fat.
Turn and cook for another 3-5 minutes, then let the meat rest for 5 minutes.
Slice the apples and cook them in butter until soft.
Add honey and apple cider vinegar and warm for 2 minutes until lightly glazed.
Slice the duck breast and serve with the apples and pan sauce.
