Mexican Rice

Ingredients

  • Rice300 g
  • Tomatoes300 g
  • Onion1 pcs
  • Garlic cloves2 cloves
  • Chicken broth600 ml
  • Cumin0.5 tsp
  • Cilantro15 g
  • Oil2 tbsp

Instructions

Rinse the rice and dry it well.

Toast the rice in oil until lightly golden.

Add onion and garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes.

Pour in tomato puree or crushed tomatoes and hot broth.

Cover and cook over low heat for 15-18 minutes without stirring.

Rest covered for 5 minutes, fluff with a fork, and serve with cilantro.
