Mince Pies

Festive British small pies filled with spiced fruit mincemeat.

Ingredients

  • Shortcrust pastry500 g
  • Fruit mincemeat400 g
  • Egg1 pcs
  • Powdered sugar30 g
  • Salt1 tsp

Instructions

Roll pastry and cut circles for the tins.

Place the larger circles into a muffin tin.

Add a spoonful of mincemeat to each.

Cover with smaller pastry lids or stars.

Brush with egg and bake at 190°C for 18–20 minutes.

Cool and dust with powdered sugar.
