Bacalhau à Brás

Portuguese dish with cod, potatoes, eggs, and onions.

Ingredients

  • Cod fillet400 g
  • Potatoes500 g
  • Onions2 pcs
  • Eggs5 pcs
  • Olive oil4 tbsp
  • Black olives60 g
  • Parsley20 g

Instructions

Cut the potatoes into very thin matchsticks and fry until crisp or bake with oil.

Poach or steam the cod for 5–7 minutes, then flake it.

Slice the onions into half-moons and cook them slowly in olive oil until soft.

Add the cod and potatoes and mix gently.

Beat the eggs with salt and pepper, pour into the pan, and cook for 1–2 minutes so they stay soft.

Remove from the heat, add parsley and olives, and serve immediately.
