Bruschetta
Crispy garlic-rubbed ciabatta bruschetta topped with a juicy mix of ripe cherry tomatoes and fresh basil — a classic Italian appetizer ready in just a few minutes.
Ingredients
- ciabatta or baguette4 pcs
- cherry tomato250 g
- basil15 g
- garlic2 cloves
- olive oil3 tbsp
- balsamic cream1 tbsp
- salt1 to taste
- black pepper1 to taste
Instructions
Slice the ciabatta or baguette into pieces 1.5–2 cm thick — one per serving.
Toast the slices on a dry grill pan, in a toaster, or under the oven broiler until golden and crisp, about 2 minutes per side.
Dice the cherry tomatoes finely, remove the seeds and excess liquid by draining them in a colander for 5 minutes.
Combine the tomatoes with hand-torn basil, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and black pepper; let the mixture rest for 10 minutes to let the flavors meld.
While the toasted bread is still hot, rub both sides with halved garlic cloves.
Spoon the tomato mixture evenly over the bread.
Drizzle with balsamic glaze and the remaining olive oil, and serve immediately while the bread is still crisp.
