Hearty sauerkraut soup with mushrooms and smoked meat

Ingredients

  • sauerkraut700 g
  • smoked ribs500 g
  • dried mushrooms40 g
  • potato600 g
  • paprika1 tbsp
  • onion1 pcs
  • salt1 to taste
  • cream150 ml
  • sour cream100 g
  • broth500 ml
  • water500 ml

Instructions

Soak the dried mushrooms in warm water for 20 minutes, then slice them.

Cover the smoked ribs with water and simmer for 30-40 minutes.

Add the sauerkraut, mushrooms, and diced potatoes.

Fry the onion with paprika and add it to the soup.

Cook for 25-30 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the cabbage flavors the broth.

Adjust the salt and serve hot, with sour cream if desired.
