Swedish potato casserole with anchovies, onion, and cream

Ingredients

  • potato600 g
  • onion1 pcs
  • cream200 ml
  • butter40 g
  • breadcrumbs70 g
  • anchovies or sprats150 g

Instructions

Cut potatoes into thin matchsticks and onion into half-rings.

Butter a baking dish.

Layer potatoes, onion, and anchovies or Swedish sprats.

Pour over cream, adding a little anchovy liquid to taste.

Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and dot with butter.

Bake at 180°C for 45-60 minutes until potatoes are tender and the top is browned.
