Stamppot with Kale

Dutch mashed potatoes with kale and sausage.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes700 g
  • Kale or leafy cabbage300 g
  • Milk300 ml
  • Butter40 g
  • Sausages250 g
  • Mustard1 tbsp
  • Salt1 to taste

Instructions

Peel and boil potatoes in salted water until tender.

Finely chop kale, removing tough stems.

Add kale to the potatoes for the last 5-7 minutes or wilt separately.

Drain, then add butter and warm milk.

Mash potatoes and kale into a coarse mash.

Serve with smoked sausage, bacon, or gravy.
