Causa Limena
A fresh peruvian home-style dish with potatoes, tuna or chicken, avocado, easy to add to a weekly menu.
Ingredients
- Potatoes900 g
- Tuna or chicken300 g
- Avocado1 pcs
- Limes2 pcs
- Mayonnaise100 g
- Aji pepper paste1 tbsp
- Salt1 to taste
- Oil2 tbsp
- Egg1 pcs
Instructions
Boil the potatoes, peel them, and mash until smooth.
Add lime juice, aji amarillo paste or mild chili, oil, and salt, and mix into a flexible dough-like mash.
Mix chicken or tuna with mayonnaise, finely chopped onion, and herbs.
Layer potato mixture, filling, avocado, and another layer of potato in a mold.
Chill the causa for 30-60 minutes so it holds its shape.
Serve cold, garnished with egg, olives, or herbs.
