Chicken Paella

A popular spanish home-style dish with paella rice, chicken thighs, bell peppers, well suited for a family weekly menu.

Ingredients

  • Paella rice350 g
  • Chicken thighs700 g
  • Bell peppers2 pcs
  • Green peas100 g
  • Saffron0.3 g
  • Chicken broth900 ml
  • Olive oil3 tbsp
  • Salt1 to taste
  • Paprika1 tsp
  • Garlic2 cloves
  • Lemon1 pcs

Instructions

Season the chicken pieces and brown them in olive oil.

Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper and cook for a few minutes until softened.

Add paella rice, stir, and toast for 1-2 minutes.

Pour in hot broth with saffron or paprika, level the rice, and do not stir again.

Cook over medium heat for 15-18 minutes, adding peas or beans near the end.

Remove from the heat, cover for 5 minutes, and serve with lemon.
