Turkish Rice Pilaf

Fluffy rice with butter and toasted vermicelli.

Ingredients

  • Rice250 g
  • Butter40 g
  • Broth or water800 ml
  • Vermicelli80 g
  • Salt1 to taste

Instructions

Rinse the rice several times and soak it in warm salted water for 15-20 minutes.

Melt butter in a pot and toast the vermicelli until golden.

Add the well-drained rice and stir for 2-3 minutes.

Pour in hot broth or water, season with salt, and cover.

Cook over low heat until the liquid is absorbed.

Remove from the heat, cover with a towel under the lid for 10 minutes, and fluff with a fork.
