Ingredients
- White cabbage500 g
- Pork and beef mince500 g
- Rice250 g
- Onion1 pcs
- Tomato paste2 tbsp
- Sour cream150 g
- Cornmeal for mamaliga250 g
- Salt1 to taste
- Black pepper1 to taste
- Dry wine150 ml

Prepare cabbage or vine leaves by rinsing, blanching, or soaking out excess salt.

Mix mince with rice, onion, salt, pepper, and herbs.

Wrap the filling in the leaves into small rolls.

Layer the sarmale in a pot, adding tomato sauce or sauerkraut.

Simmer gently for 1-1.5 hours until tender.

Cook mamaliga separately and serve the sarmale with it and sour cream.
