German Chicken Fricassee

Tender chicken fricassee with vegetables in a white cream sauce.

Ingredients

  • chicken fillet or thighs600 g
  • carrot2 pcs
  • peas120 g
  • button mushrooms200 g
  • broth700 ml
  • cream150 ml
  • flour2 tbsp
  • butter40 g

Instructions

Poach the chicken in broth until cooked, then cut into pieces.

Slice carrots and mushrooms and cook until tender.

Warm flour in butter, then gradually whisk in broth.

Add cream and cook the sauce until lightly thickened.

Return chicken to the sauce and add vegetables and peas.

Heat for 5 minutes and serve with rice.
