Sweet-sour marinated herring with onion and spices

Ingredients

  • herring300 g
  • red onion1 pcs
  • vinegar2 tbsp
  • sugar80 g
  • dill20 g
  • salt1 to taste
  • black pepper1 to taste

Instructions

For Marinated Baltic Herring, cut red onion and dill into serving pieces.

Brown red onion and dill lightly.

Add red onion and cook for 3-5 minutes.

Pour in vinegar and add herring and sugar.

Simmer gently until tender and the sauce is thick.

Adjust salt and pepper and serve hot.
