Kopytka Potato Dumplings
Polish potato dumplings similar to gnocchi, served with butter, sauce, or meat.
Ingredients
- Boiled potatoes700 g
- Wheat flour180 g
- Egg1 pcs
- Salt1 tsp
- Butter40 g
Instructions
Cool the boiled potatoes and mash them until smooth.
Add egg, salt, and flour, then knead briefly into a soft dough.
Divide the dough, roll into ropes about 2 cm thick.
Cut diagonally into small dumplings.
Boil in salted water for 2 minutes after they float.
Serve with butter, mushroom sauce, or pan-fry leftovers the next day.
