Vegetable Pulao

Ingredients

  • Basmati rice350 g
  • Carrot1 pcs
  • Green peas150 g
  • Green beans150 g
  • Onion1 pcs
  • Garam masala1 tsp
  • Ghee2 tbsp
  • Salt1 to taste
  • Bay leaves2 pcs
  • Cinnamon0.5 tsp
  • Ground cumin1 tsp
  • Oil2 tbsp

Instructions

Rinse basmati rice and soak it for 20 minutes.

Heat ghee or oil in a pot and add whole spices: cumin, cinnamon, cardamom, and bay leaf.

Add onion and fry until lightly golden.

Add chopped vegetables, salt, and spices and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Add the rice, pour in hot water in the correct ratio, and cover.

Cook over low heat until the rice is done, then rest for 10 minutes and fluff.
