Tavuklu Pilav

Turkish rice pilaf with chicken and butter.

Ingredients

  • Rice250 g
  • Chicken breast500 g
  • Chicken broth900 ml
  • Butter40 g
  • Chickpeas300 g
  • Salt1 to taste
  • Black pepper1 to taste

Instructions

Boil the chicken in water with onion, salt, and spices until cooked.

Shred the meat and strain the broth.

Rinse the rice and soak it for 15 minutes if desired.

Melt butter in a pot and briefly toast the rice.

Pour in hot chicken broth, cover, and cook until done.

Mix the rice with chicken or place chicken on top, then serve with pepper and herbs.
