Polish Zapiekanka
A Polish open-faced toasted baguette with mushrooms, cheese, and ketchup.
Ingredients
- Baguette1 pcs
- Champignons250 g
- Onion1 pcs
- Hard cheese150 g
- Ketchup3 tbsp
- Oil1 tbsp
- Garlic2 cloves
- Salt1 tsp
Instructions
Cut the baguette lengthwise and toast it lightly.
Slice the mushrooms and fry with onion until the moisture evaporates.
Spread the mushrooms over the baguette halves.
Top with grated cheese and bake at 200°C for 8–10 minutes until melted.
Finish with ketchup or garlic sauce.
Serve immediately while the bread is crisp.
