Plum Knedle
Polish potato dumplings filled with plums and served with buttered breadcrumbs.
Ingredients
- Boiled potatoes700 g
- Flour180 g
- Egg1 pcs
- Plums12 pcs
- Breadcrumbs60 g
- Butter50 g
- Sugar40 g
- Cinnamon0.5 tsp
- Salt1 to taste
Instructions
Cool the boiled potatoes and mash them smoothly.
Add egg, flour, and a pinch of salt, then knead a soft dough.
Cut the plums, remove the pits, and optionally add a little sugar inside.
Wrap each plum in dough and form a ball.
Boil in salted water for 4–5 minutes after they float.
Serve with buttered breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.
