Prepare the base: chop the lamb, freekeh and other vegetables from the recipe.

In a pot, heat the oil or fat and sauté the aromatic ingredients until softened.

Add the lamb, tomatoes and spices, stirring so they evenly release their flavour.

Pour in the water or broth, bring to a boil and simmer over low heat until cooked through.
