Boil the potato or cassava until tender and mash with butter and milk into a purée.

Fry the ground meat or chicken with onion, garlic, and tomato sauce.

Season the filling with salt, pepper, and herbs, and simmer until thick.

Spread half of the purée in a baking dish, then top with the meat filling.

Cover with the remaining purée and sprinkle with cheese.

Bake at 190 °C for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
