Soak the beans overnight, then rinse them.

In a large pot, fry the bacon, sausage, and pork pieces until browned.

Add the onion and garlic, cook for 5 minutes.

Add the beans, bay leaf, and enough water to cover the ingredients by 3–4 cm.

Simmer for 1.5–2 hours, until the beans and meat are tender.
