Chicken Youvetsi
Chicken baked with orzo in tomato sauce.
Ingredienti
- pollo800 g
- orzo250 g
- pomodori in scatola400 g
- cipolla1 pz
- aglio3 spicchi
- olio d'oliva2 cucchiaio
- formaggio stagionato180 g
- origano1 cucchiaino
- sale1 a piacere
- acqua500 ml
- origano secco1 cucchiaino
Istruzioni
Cook the orzo in salted water until done, reserving some of the cooking water.
Prepare the sauce: finely chop the onion and garlic and sauté in a pan.
Add the chicken, canned tomatoes, onion and garlic and cook until tender.
Stir in the olive oil, hard cheese and oregano and heat until a smooth sauce forms.
Combine the pasta or noodles with the sauce, adding a little of the cooking water for a creamy texture.
Serve immediately while the dish is hot.
