Causa Limeña
A fresh homemade dish from Peruvian cuisine made with potato, tuna or chicken, and avocado, easy to add to your weekly menu.
Ingredienti
- patata900 g
- tonno o pollo300 g
- avocado1 pz
- lime2 pz
- maionese100 g
- peperoncino ají1 cucchiaio
- sale1 a piacere
- olio2 cucchiaio
- uovo1 pz
Istruzioni
Boil the potatoes, peel them, and mash into a smooth purée.
Add lime juice, ají amarillo paste or mild chili, oil, and salt, then mix until you get a pliable mass.
Mix the chicken or tuna with mayonnaise, finely chopped onion, and herbs.
In a mold, layer the potato mixture, then the filling, avocado, and another layer of potato.
Refrigerate the causa for 30–60 minutes so it holds its shape.
Serve cold, garnished with egg, olives, or herbs.
