Poppy Seed Roll
A festive Polish yeast roll with poppy seed filling
Ingredienti
- farina500 g
- latte250 ml
- lievito secco7 g
- uovo2 pz
- burro100 g
- semi di papavero300 g
- miele80 g
- uvetta80 g
- zucchero1 cucchiaino
Istruzioni
Dissolve the yeast in warm milk with a spoonful of sugar and leave for 10 minutes.
Add flour, eggs, butter, the remaining sugar and knead a soft dough; let it rise for 1 hour.
Scald the poppy seeds, grind them and mix with honey, nuts and raisins.
Roll the dough into a rectangle and spread the poppy seed filling over it.
Roll it up, pinch the edge and leave for 20 minutes.
Bake at 180 °C for 35–40 minutes, then once cooled, cover with glaze.
