Cut the potatoes into sticks, rinse and dry thoroughly.

Fry the potatoes in a deep fryer or bake until crispy.

Rinse the mussels and discard any that are open or damaged.

In a large pot, sauté the onion, garlic and celery in butter.

Add the mussels, white wine or broth, cover and cook for 4–6 minutes until the shells open.

Serve the mussels with the juices from the pot, French fries and sauce.
