Rinse the millet thoroughly until the water runs clear, then pour boiling water over it.

Cover the millet with water, bring to a boil, and cook for 8 minutes.

Add the milk, salt, and sugar.

Cook over low heat for 15–18 minutes, stirring frequently.

Once the porridge thickens, add the butter.
